Clearcut Sound supports Alzheimer’s Research UK

by Christopher Wrigglesworth

This year we are fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

The fight to beat Alzheimer’s is a subject close to a few of the team here at Clearcut Sound who have been closely affected by family members with the disease.

Alzheimer’s Research UK first came to us to record the voice for it’s innovative 360 project awalkthroughdementia.org.

After this session we realised there was an opportunity to help. As well as support the charity with its media work, we will be fundraising throughout the year. Watch this space.

Dementia affects over 850,000 people in the UK and around 38% of the UK population know a close friend or family member with dementia.

There are currently no treatments to stop the diseases that cause dementia and Alzheimer’s Research UK is leading the fightback by supporting research projects worth more than £33 million in leading universities across the UK. Its scientists’ groundbreaking work focuses on prevention, treatment and cure and they also hope to empower people across all generations through greater understanding of dementia.
